How pricing works
Hytale Ban List is priced around API calls - the requests your server makes to the ban network each time a player joins. Every join check counts as one call. Ban submissions, appeal reviews, dashboard access, and team management do not count against your limit.
The Free plan covers 200 checks per day, which is enough for small or pre-launch servers. If your server regularly sees more than 200 unique joins per day, the Starter plan scales that to 2,000. The Pro plan is designed for high-traffic servers and adds a custom domain for your appeals portal on top.
When you hit your daily limit, the plugin enters fallback mode automatically - local moderation keeps running, bans are queued, and sync resumes at 00:01 UTC. You are never left unprotected mid-day.

Is Hytale Ban List really free to start?
Yes. The Free plan gives you 200 API calls per day at no cost, with no credit card required. You get full access to the community ban database, ban submissions, appeal handling, and the owner dashboard. Upgrade only if your server grows to need more daily checks.
What counts as an API call?
Every player check your server performs counts as one API call. This happens automatically when a player joins - the plugin sends their identity to the Hytale Ban List network and receives an instant allow or deny response. Ban submissions and appeal actions do not count against your daily limit.
What happens if I hit my daily limit?
The plugin enters fallback mode: local moderation continues to apply, and any bans issued while limited are queued and synced automatically after the daily reset at 00:01 UTC. Your server stays protected - it just temporarily stops cross-referencing new joins against the network until the limit resets.
Can I cancel or downgrade at any time?
Yes. There are no contracts or lock-in periods. You can cancel or downgrade your plan at any time from the owner dashboard. Your server will continue on the lower tier at the next billing cycle.
What does the custom domain feature on Pro do?
The Pro plan lets you host the player appeals portal and ban search on your own subdomain (e.g. bans.yourserver.com) via a CNAME record. Players see your server brand instead of the hytalebanlist.org domain when they open an appeal link.
